Be Totally Free; Workshop Series on Emotional Eating Debuts in Los Angeles

Los Angeles (PRWEB) April 29, 2008 -- In order to be effective, any program dealing with emotional eating and other lifelong addictions, must deal with the underlying root causes of the addictive behavior. Tricia Greaves, founder of Be Totally Free! will lead a series of workshops on how to identify and heal the issues related to emotional eating. The sessions are especially effective for people who have tried and exhausted all other means of recovery. "Emotional Eating: Finally Breaking Free" is the first in the four-part weekly series and will be held 7-9 p.m., May 4 in West L.A.

At the first evening session, Greaves, who personally overcame years of emotional eating and lost 50 lbs. as a result, will help attendees understand and address the reasons "why we do what we do" and core issues including "why control doesn't work," "the 'anatomy' of the emotional eater and where they fit in" and "how to find and heal the cause of individual self-sabotage."

The second workshop in the series, "Food and You" scheduled for May 11, will cover "cravings--what they tell you," "three easy ways to curb them"--"how to end night eating for good," "slenderizing socializing," and "how to develop an individual plan that will work for you."

Additional workshops will address issues including "people pleasing", managing unmanageable finances and other concerns common to emotional eaters. The workshop fee is $30 per session or the discounted rate of four sessions for $99. Pre-registration is required at www.betotallyfree.com. (Click "Register Now").

The West L.A. event location will be e-mailed to participants upon completion of online registration. Greaves founded Be Totally Free! Be Totally Free! (BTF) is a nonprofit that helps people overcome addictions. Rather than focusing on the symptoms, BTF shows people how they can end the vicious cycle of emotional eating and addictions by addressing and healing the root causes. Through educational workshops, seminars, an online community, and a transformational mentorship program, BTF helps individuals address and heal the underlying root of their compulsions and obsessions, so they can finally "be totally free." BTF's team of experienced volunteers, comprised of successful clients, contribute their time, personal experience, and inspiration to newer clients. The organization, based in Los Angeles, specializes in helping those who have exhausted all other means of recovery.
